On Saturday, 13 December 2025, the Kenyans in Japan Association (KIJA) successfully held its inaugural Christmas and End-of-Year Gala in Tokyo. The event marked an important milestone in the Association’s calendar and was organized to commemorate the year’s achievements while providing a platform to reflect on progress made and outline priorities for the continued growth and cohesion of the Kenyan community in Japan.

The Gala brought together Kenyans from all walks of life, alongside their families and friends of Kenya, in a celebration of heritage, culture, and belonging. The event provided a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the year’s accomplishments, reconnect as a community, and chart the way forward for the continued growth of Kenyans in Japan.
