The Kenyan's in Japan Association (KIJA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and connecting Kenyans living in Japan.

We aim to celebrate our rich cultural heritage, provide resources for personal and professional growth, and create opportunities for meaningful connections among our members. Mie-based Kenyan Steicy Gicharu gains national recognition in Japan for promoting Kenyan culture through music, cuisine, and school visits.
On 13 December 2025, KIJA held its inaugural Christmas and End-of-Year Gala in Tokyo, bringing together Kenyans, their families, and friends of Kenya to celebrate shared achievements, culture, and community. The well-attended event marked the beginning of what KIJA aims to establish as an annual flagship celebration.
Historic medal haul for Kenya's Deaflympics Team at the 25th Summer Deaflympics, finishing 11th globally and 1st in Africa with 15 medals. Kenyans in Japan celebrate the athletes’ remarkable achievements and record-breaking victories.
